Guide To Boston Neighborhoods – When moving to Boston, the neighborhood you pick is everything. You have to ask yourself: How far do I want to be from nightlife, restaurants, concerts, sporting events, and work? We’ve outlined four of our favorite neighborhoods in Boston which all offer a diverse experience.
Back Bay
Covering 340 acres and right in the heart of Boston, the Back Bay is the ultimate destination for shopping, dining, and nightlife. Leading the charge is Newbury Street, with its brick sidewalks, quaint cafes, world-class restaurants, and boutique clothing stores, there’s something for everyone. The neighborhood is filled with turn of the century Brownstones which are in high demand and you are centrally located to everything Boston has to offer. The Prudential Center mall is right in the middle of the neighborhood and the beautiful Charles River is always a nice getaway to unwind after work.
Fenway
If you’re a baseball fan, The Fenway is the perfect location for you. Historic Fenway Park is home to the Boston Red Sox and is surrounded by dozens of restaurants, bars, and shops all within walking distance. Eat at a high-end restaurant before you head to the Sox game.
South End
From beautiful turn of the century Victorian rowhouse brownstones, to delicious dining and wining options, the South End has just about everything you need and perfect to bring your furry friends for a walk in it’s many dog parks. The South End is almost famous for it’s old warehouses which have been restored and repurposed as art studios, galleries, and boutique shops.
Beacon Hill
If you’re noticing a pattern here it’s Victorian brownstones. Beacon Hill is almost exclusively brownstones and they are stunning! Cobblestones line the sidewalks and cafes and restaurants really add to this neighborhood’s charm. This neighborhood is one of the last in Boston that’s almost completely intact from its original conception.
